POP for the music

ENGLISH for the English language

by  Michèle-Marie,

Michèle-Marie conceived, wrote , composed, sang, and directed

the POP ENGLISH program

and later the POP FRENCH & POP SPANISH program

in partnership with Laurent Voulzy  for the music,

a very famous French Pop Music star !

The Pop English goals are

- Through original songs, let the children discover the new sounds of a new foreign language,  its musicality, its rhythm and melody.

- Using the body while miming the meaning of the songs, singing the lyrics and dancing to its rhythm and melody, making it as much of a physical activity as of an intellectual activity.

Indeed, Singing, miming and dancing at the same time will require concentration and time.

- Developing the child’s confidence in speaking a foreign language;

Objectives

Learning English with Pop English will allow the child to have a pleasant approach to a foreign language and acquire other wide-ranging, interactive competencies. Indeed, using the music and his body while learning the new language, the child will develop not only his visual and auditory memory but also his concentration capacities.

These acquisitions will help him progress in different subjects. His creativity and his imagination will be increased through the Pop English classes as time goes on.

His ability to communicate and his desire to express his own personality will improve.

Learning the Engllish language through original songs and computer animation

The titles of the songs speak for themselves :

 :

“A frog under an umbrella”,

 “An elephant on a bed”...

Such catchy tunes… you do keep singing along when the class is over and you go home.

The best part is you can also remember the lyrics of course! Not only the melody but the vocabulary, the grammatical structure and the pronunciation! Well, the whole singing lesson.

A fun and artistic approach

Music lends to young ears the rhythm and the right stress of the foreign language.

They will develop their listening concentration, then reproduce the new sounds first collectively then individually with the help and attention of the animatrice who will correct the pronunciation of each child.

Miming is important and allows the child to express himself with his body without shyness in front of his friends and fellows.

The Pop English program appeals to their sensitivity, and will let them discover their own personal capacities and talent. So the children leave their natural shyness behind while playing and singing in group. They will be led to express themselves naturally in a foreign language with enthusiasm and fun, especially when we organize karaoke competitions.

POP ENGLISH is a success with all kinds of children, especially with unsuccessful pupils at school, because here they succeed and win confidence! Your children will love it, so they will remember!
